Hygge – you may have heard of the Danish term before. He is translated with comfortable, pleasant, comfortable, nice, good. But he teaches so much more. A whole feeling of life, from the establishment to eating and drinking.
We'll give you tips on how to make yourself comfortable and have a great recipe in hand to make you and your family happy.
The lucky Scandinavians
Every year, the United Nations publishes the World Happiness Report. In this year's report (http://worldhappiness.report/) Scandinavians were once again able to claim the title, the Finns, followed by the Norwegians, Danes and Icelanders. But why is it that the high north is so happy, when it is almost half the year almost dark and the cold particularly strikes? It is the lifestyle of the Scandinavians to fully enjoy even the little things and to create pleasurable moments every day.
This can be an evening with the family, a relaxing lunch break outdoors or simply a really good piece of cake – the main thing is to make you happy! Our 4 tips to get started with Hygge follow now.
. 1 Really good coffee or tea
One of the most important steps to Hygge life is to enjoy warmth and coziness. And how is that better than having a delicious hot drink? Especially now in the cold season, we need coffee anyway to really get going. Take the time in the morning to consciously enjoy the awake-maker. Incidentally, coffee is not as harmful as its reputation: it does not deprive our body of water as we have long believed. Researchers say there is nothing to say against up to 4 cups a day.
Later in the evening, tea is the better choice and has a special effect as well. It has long been known how many positive qualities the brewed leaves, herbs and flowers have. Some teas and their effects at a glance:
- Green tea: It boosts metabolism and contains a variety of antioxidants.
- Peppermint Tea: Helps with stomach ache and is designed to help against cravings.
- Chamomile Tea: Helps against stomach ache, relieves inflammation and soothes. A multi-talent!
All that is missing is a good book or relaxed music and the hyggeling moment is perfect.
. 2 Sweet to share or to enjoy yourself
Good food is the nuts and bolts. If you share that with your sweetheart, the joy will double.
